• People with reduced mobility

Please note that the slipways can be extremely slippy: take extra care!

The swell can also make it very difficult to get on and off the boat, particularly for anyone with reduced mobility.

• Wheelchair users

Unfortunately, the architecture of the Château du Taureau and its position on the water means that it is not accessible for visitors in a wheelchair.

The French association ‘Rêves de Mer’ offers day trips in Morlaix Bay and around the Château du Taureau aboard their sailboat Steir Way, which is able to welcome wheelchair users. Visitors are able to board at Roscoff, where there is a light, folding footbridge that enables wheelchair users to board the boat.

Visual disability

The Château du Taureau has a great number of steps and stairways, so it is advisable to visit accompanied by a sighted person who can guide you around any such obstacles.

Guide dogs accompanying those people with a valid disability card are always welcome on the passenger boat to the Château du Taureau. We would ask you just to let us know beforehand so that we can make the necessary arrangements on board.

Hearing disability

If you have a hearing disability and would like to visit the Château, please let us know beforehand so that we can adapt the sound level accordingly.
