Advance booking required
The Château du Taureau is completely surrounded by the sea.
No matter how low the tide might be, it is never accessible on foot.
Getting on and off the boat
The slipways for boarding and getting off the boat are covered by the sea every time the tide rises. This makes them slippy, so please be very careful!
Occasionally, the swells of the sea can make it difficult to board the boat, particularly for children and people who are less agile. It is important to take your time.
Toilets
Because it is surrounded by the sea, the Château du Taureau has no running water or sanitary facilities.
There are NO toilets available.
Please make the necessary arrangements for yourselves. There are public toilets near each of the harbours (Kelenn Beach in Carantec and Diben Port in Plougasnou). The passenger boat ‘Le Guillemot’, also has toilets on board.
What to bring
Please remember your sunhat, sunglasses and suncream, and of course a camera for souvenirs of your unforgettable visit!
As for shoes, wear what is practical and comfortable: avoid wearing sandals or high heels.
Even in sunny weather, bring a pullover or jacket. Once you’re out at sea, there’s often a cold wind despite the Breton sunshine!
