The Château du Taureau, is well worth a visit!

The Château du Taureau is completely surrounded by the sea.

No matter how low the tide might be, it is never accessible on foot.

The tides decide when it’s possible to visit the Château du Taureau, and this has always been the case!

“All the guests boarded the little boat. Everything was going well at first out at sea; then, when we rounded the coastal point of Locquénolé, the boat was so battered by the gusts of wind that the sailors felt it highly unwise to go any further. The slipway is only accessible when the water level is between 3 metres and 8.5 metres: any lower and the slipway is dry; any higher and the slipway disappears under the waves.
